Steeple Morden village envelope and conservation areas
The Parish Council agree a village envelope limit with the South Cambridge District Council every few years and this helps determine the approach to be taken when planning applications are received for review and comment. The village also contains several conservation areas which impact the thinking on planning. Maps showing the current village envelope and conservation areas are shown below.
The Village Envelope line (black dashes) denotes where urban and countryside policies in the Local plan cross over. The Conservation Areas ( magenta continuous line} denote the limits of the areas where the special character and setting of the area should taken into account in any planning decision.
